Swansea University Announce European Social Fund (ESF) Knowledge Economy Skills Scholarships for MRes Study 2011/2012, UK

Scholarship Description: These scholarships are part of the Knowledge Economy Skills Scholarship (KESS) programme which aims at widening access to postgraduate study and encourage high calibre graduates to work on a range of collaborative research projects with small and medium sized organisations located in the Convergence Area of Wales (Blaenau Gwent, Bridgend, Caerphilly, Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Conwy, Denbighshire, Gwynedd, Isle of Anglesey, Merthyr Tydfil, Neath Port Talbot, Pembrokeshire, Rhondda Cynon Taff, Swansea & Torfaen). The School has a number of fully-funded scholarships available for the following programmes:
MRes Aquatic Ecology & Conservation
MRes Sustainable Aquaculture & Fisheries
Eligibility: Only Masters applicants from the UK or EU will be eligible

  • Applicants must be resident in the Convergence Area of Wales (see above) on enrolment and be permitted to work in the Convergence Area upon completion of the scholarship
  • Applicants should hold (or be expecting to achieve) a minimum of a 2.1 degree (or equivalent)
  • Applicants should have already applied formally to the University for a place on one of the above programmes. If you have not yet applied for a place to study, please visit the Admissions Office website for information regarding application.
