
Scholarship Description
The ASI is a $100 million commitment by the Australian Government to support solar thermal and solar photovoltaic research and development. This commitment will foster greater collaboration between solar researchers in universities, research institutions and industry and help forge strong links with peak overseas solar research organisations. A key objective of the ASI is to retain local, and attract to Australian international expertise in solar energy research and in doing so support the growth in skills and capacity in solar technologies for the domestic and international markets. The ASI is calling for applications for up to 4 PhD scholarships. Applications should propose research activity in the areas of PV, OPB or Concentrated Solar Power to commence in 2011.

Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is AUD35000 (per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years.
